About me

My name is Rose A C Howard. I also use the pseudonyms

‘Rosemoo’ and ‘Twosocksclifton’. I am female, 27 years old,

small but strong, and I wear glasses. I have a BFA in

theatrical design from Ithaca College, and I make art. I also

like to make and wear silly hats.

I am working as a freelance designer/artist in the general

area of New York City. I live in New Rochelle with my

husband Adam and our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy Rayna.

Currently I am working at a small kids bookstore in

Larchmont, NY. I am also teaching sewing classes and

softie-making workshops. See the Teaching section above for more info.

My life goals include working with children, making art and bringing fun and energy to all around me. Also making good food and more good friends.

Last year I amicably left a year and a half long job at Propstar, working with Kathy Fabian on fancy Broadway shows. I crafted props, managed scheduling and trucking, and was an all-around right hand woman there.

Previously I was the set and costume designer for the play 'The Invitation' by Brian Parks. John Clancy directed it at The Ohio Theatre on Wooster Street in NYC. Before that I worked for a few weeks with Basil Twist at HERE arts center on 'Arias with a Twist', making various odd proppy puppety things. There has been more theatre but that’s the most recent stuff.

In the past I have been seen in NYC, Ithaca, NY, Brunswick, ME, and even London, England (where I worked for six months in a fancy whiskey society bar).

In my free time, I have been drinking tea, reading classic plays and novels (and comic books), and making strange art from socks and scrap fabric.

I am always available to make commissioned pieces.

Please email me if you are interested.
