Presented on top of the Hangar Theatre's production of 'As You Like It', original set design by Beowulf Boritt.

This was a Kidstuff production based on the stories by Kevin Henkes. The design team used his original illustrations from the books 'Julius: Baby of the World', 'Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse' and 'Chester's Way' as design inspiration. We relied heavily on his use of color and pattern, though we heightened both for the theatrical setting. Instead of fighting the large, apple-green set, we used strong colors to pop out from the green and used the moving trees as scenery.

I made and designed most of the props myself based on his illustrations.
